Port-Gentil is on Gabon's Coastal Plain.
Understand[edit]
Port-Gentil is Gabon's workhorse with offshore oil rigs and port activities humming around the city. Interestingly, Port-Gentil has no roadway connections with the rest of Gabon, and sits on a peninsula (island actually, if you consider that it is cut off from the mainland by the delta of the Ogooue River).
Get in[edit]
The connection with the rest of the world is maintained through * 1 Port-Gentil Airport. with transit to Libreville, and marine links, including a ferry service to Lambarene across the Ogooue River.
