Schedules and exact prices necessary?

[edit]

I have as of lately tried to prune and update this article with the aim of nominating it for OtBP. I think I'm almost done, but the article has one more issue.

Few articles on Wikivoyage have as much detailed information about ticket prices and bus departure times as this Pakse article. But many prices (also further down the article) are given as of 2011 and I wouldn't be surprised if most of the rest are also from around the same time. As everywhere in the world prices tend to go up as time passes (in developing countries even more so, if I'm not mistaken) and schedules change; so very likely much of that content is incorrect as of today.

I plan to update as much as possible, but the question remains if we really need to have so much exact numerical data in the first place or if it's better to delete the schedules altogether and give the ticket prices as a few coarse price ranges for nearby, further away and international destinations (if I can find updated prices online) instead of the exact price for every destination? This would also mean that they wouldn't go out of date so easily, and if there are multiple bus companies operating the same route there might be differences in ticket prices anyway. Bus ticket prices, when available from search engines seem to be in $. For places to Eat, the few that have any web presence don't seem to post any prices. Hotels, the few that have a web presence give prices in € or $. And when looking for hotels in Google (Maps) there are links to aggregators that present prices in €, and it's no point in adding prices from these 3rd party sites here. -- ϒψιλον (talk) 19:31, 6 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
