Antequera Region is a region in the Province of Malaga, Andalucia. It is in the area of the Surco Intrabético range, on the boundary with the province of Córdoba. The landscape is largely plain (Hoya de Antequera), run by the higher valley of the Guadalhorce river.

It is a land of plains and undulating fields dotted with hills and hills, which, due to its condition as the geographical centre of Andalusia, is the main land communications hub in this area.

Get in

Two major highways cross the region: the A-92 Sevilla-Granada-Almería, which runs west-east, and the A-45 Córdoba-Málaga in a north-south direction.

The region also has the Antequera-Santa Ana station on the AVE Córdoba - Málaga line.
